Job summary

Intuitive Machines Houston is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer with hands-on experience in additive manufacturing to design, set up, and optimize EOS M290 DMLS and related processes for flight-critical parts.

You will collaborate with design, materials, and quality teams, apply DfAM and lightweighting, develop process parameters, run build simulations, and troubleshoot to ensure repeatable, high-quality production in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, materials, manufacturing, or aerospace engineering.
• 3–7 years in additive manufacturing or related engineering disciplines.
• Proficient in DfAM principles, topology optimization, and lightweighting.
• Hands-on with metal and polymer AM systems and CAD/slicing tools.
• Familiar with quality/inspection processes and AS9100 / ISO 9001.

Responsibilities

• Identify parts suitable for additive manufacturing with manufacturability improvements.
• Apply DfAM to reduce post-processing and weight.
• Prepare 3D CAD models for printing and setup build parameters.
• Develop AM process parameters for polymers, metals, composites.
• Conduct build simulations and validate settings for repeatable parts.
• Troubleshoot build issues and drive continuous improvement.
