Job summary

Intuitive Machines in Glen Burnie, MD is seeking a Logistics & Materials Specialist to join our prototype development and manufacturing environment supporting spacecraft and aerospace mechanisms.

Responsibilities include receiving materials, coordinating kitting, maintaining serialized inventory, and preparing shipments, while applying Lean and 5S principles to keep the warehouse organized and efficient for engineering and production teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 5–10 years in logistics, warehouse, inventory control, or manufacturing support.
• Experience in manufacturing or aerospace environments preferred.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Acumatica preferred).
• Experience with inventory or asset management software (Boltline preferred).
• Knowledge of shipping, receiving, warehousing and material handling.
• Understanding of serialized inventory and traceability.

• Coordinate freight carriers and shipping documentation.
• Support production scheduling through material availability reports.
• Maintain warehouse organization using Lean and 5S principles.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to resolve material issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for inventory, warehouse operations, and material flow.

About the Position

The Logistics & Materials Specialist is responsible for receiving, warehousing, inventory control, production kitting, shipping, ERP administration, and tooling asset management. The role ensures production-ready material, complete hardware traceability, and accurate inventory records to support engineering, manufacturing, integration, and test operations.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 5-10 years of logistics, warehouse, inventory control, or manufacturing support experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or aerospace environments preferred.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Acumatica preferred).
• Experience with inventory or asset management software (Boltline preferred).
• Knowledge of shipping, receiving, warehousing, and material handling.
• Understanding of serialized inventory, lot traceability, and configuration control.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift materials and work safely in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Manufacturing, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Experience supporting prototype and low-volume manufacturing.
• Aerospace or spacecraft manufacturing experience.
• AS9100 or aerospace manufacturing experience.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain.
• Knowledge of export compliance and shipping documentation.
• Experience with barcode inventory systems.
• Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience.

Work is performed in a prototype development laboratory and manufacturing environment supporting spacecraft, lunar robotics and aerospace mechanisms.
