Logistics Material Handler Shipping Dock Coordinator – DC

We’re looking for motivated individuals to join our team and contribute to our success by providing innovative electrical solutions that ensure a safer, more secure world.

Role Responsibilities:
  1. Comply with all safety procedures, reporting hazards to supervisors.
  2. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  3. Report issues related to equipment, operations, or materials to supervisors.
  4. Handle materials: receiving, stocking, picking, issuing, and delivering within performance guidelines.
  5. Perform routine duties like checking orders, wrapping, and loading pallets.
  6. Ensure smooth flow of work through the dock area, preventing pallet accumulation.
  7. Remove packed items from conveyor, and stack on skids.
  8. Set up workstations and instruct operators on procedures and safety.
  9. Operate forklift trucks and report issues to team leads.
  10. Maintain equipment, including safety checks.
  11. Ensure availability of necessary materials for operations.
  12. Meet performance standards to ensure production schedules are met.
  13. Ensure products meet quality specifications.
  14. Participate in rotational assignments and continuous improvement activities.
  15. Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Preferably 3+ years warehouse experience.
  • Experience with RF scanners and related software.
  • Proficiency in Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and label printing software.
Skills:
  • Knowledge of material flow processes and safety policies.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment (PIT, forklift, reach truck, pallet jack, order picker).
  • Ability to perform under high stress with a positive attitude.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
  • Bend, squat, reach overhead, climb stairs/ladders.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
