General Dynamics Electric Boat Groton is offering a 2027 Summer Internship in Material Control/Logistics. This program requires a minimum eight weeks and includes medical screening and a background check.

Qualifications

Must be 18 years of age or older.
US citizenship is required.
Must pass a medically supervised drug screen and background check.
Must be enrolled full-time at a college or university.
Freshman year completed prior to start date.
Available to work 40 hours per week for eight consecutive weeks (May 2027–Sept 2027).
Pursuing a Bachelor or Masters in Business, Supply Chain or Logistics.

Responsibilities

Learn the business and process of management and movement of material to support submarine construction.
Learn logistics management, data management & KPI reporting, and project reporting.
Develop solutions to design, new construction, and in-service problems on submarines.
Material Control maintains warehouse and buffer storage for all submarine programs.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, service departments, shipyard personnel, and Navy customers.
