Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. seeks a Manager Trainee for Spring 2027 Start in Haslet, TX. The program trains on managing a small driver count, handling night/weekend shifts, and ensuring safe, timely freight movement with strong customer service.

You will learn DOT compliance, payroll basics, budgeting, and reporting while coordinating drivers, carriers, and internal teams to optimize operations across the fleet.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 1 year of related management experience
• Willingness to travel to accounts
• Ability to work across multiple shifts including nights/weekends
• Regional relocation willingness depending on assignment

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with drivers and outside carriers to maximize productivity
• Fill in for absent staff and support special fleet projects
• Train drivers and staff in systems and orientation
• Maximize fleet efficiency and prepare customer reporting and financial analysis
• Assist with yard duties, maintenance coordination, and safety compliance
• Coordinate loads, routing, and on-time delivery to meet customer needs
