in Orangeburg, SC is seeking a Manager Trainee to learn the management of a small driver count and non-traditional shifts, including nights and weekends, while ensuring safe and timely movement of freight and delivering best-in-class customer service. Under supervision, you will be trained to comply with DOT regulations, manage driver compliance, plan routes, monitor loads, and develop reporting and cost insights as you advance toward leadership responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Transportation/Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field, or 1 year management experience with diploma.
• Ability to travel to account, customer, and company event locations.
• Ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and weekends.
• Willingness to relocate regionally depending on account assignment.

Responsibilities

• Learn to build and maintain relationships with drivers and carriers.
• Fill in for absent personnel and support fleet optimization.
• Learn personnel management and driver training.
• Plan and monitor freight movements to meet customer requirements.
• Manage yard and maintenance coordination for account equipment.
