Job summary

Job description

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Logistics Management Specialist supporting War Reserve Materiel Unit Type Code management, allowance standard currency and relevance, reconstitution of WRM packages, equipment out-of-balance variances, Program Objective Memorandum submission, training requirements, and WRM tasking orders.

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Series. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE

Applicants must have at least 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-01, equivalent to the next lower grade GS-04 or equivalent in other pay systems. Specialized experience is experience in following established procedures and instructions to perform logistical support functions; assisting in development and maintaining of support plans, concepts, documentation, and funding profiles; establishing metric and analysis systems for unity managed to assess efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance with regulatory procedures; evaluating reports, analyzing facts and performing appropriate research to prepare detailed responses. NOTE: Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs)
  1. Knowledge and skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques for the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of the program and/or strategic sourcing.
  2. Knowledge of overall missions, functions, and organization of the agency or component. Ability to apply the knowledge to evaluate current organizational strategies, and performance.
  3. Knowledge of organizational concepts, principles, and practices as related to the requirements for performance-based logistics, acquisition, supply maintenance, procurement procedures, manufacturing, strategic sourcing, and other support areas.
  4. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with accuracy, and maintain good working relations with all individuals and organizations.
  5. Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues. Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution.
  6. Skill in interpreting and applying complex agency regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies, as well as developing methods and operating procedures as required.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE

Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
