Job summary

Ohio Logistics is seeking a Lead Logistics Representative to support daily logistics, shipping, customer service, and warehouse operations in a dynamic Ohio facility.

The role is hands-on, coordinating orders, shipment scheduling, and inventory movement, while communicating between customers, warehouse staff, and transportation partners. Strong organization and teamwork are essential for on-time deliveries and service excellence.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in logistics, warehousing, transportation, customer service, or distribution operations.
• Experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support a safe and compliant work environment.
• Assist in coordinating daily shipping, receiving, and customer service activities.
• Partner with warehouse personnel to ensure orders are processed accurately and shipped on time.
• Create and manage customer orders within the warehouse management system (WMS).
• Schedule inventory for shipment using FIFO guidelines and customer requirements.
• Build and release shipments according to customer schedules and inventory availability.
• Prepare Bills of Lading (BOL) and related shipping documentation.
• Communicate shipment status, delivery updates, and service issues to customers.
• Coordinate expedited shipments when necessary.
• Maintain accurate data and records in warehouse and customer systems.
• Generate and distribute operational reports as needed.
• Follow company procedures, quality standards, and inventory control practices.
• Work closely with transportation providers, customers, and internal teams to resolve issues and support customer satisfaction.
• Assist with training and supporting team members on daily processes.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
