Job summary

medmix in Illinois is seeking a Shipping Clerk to assemble orders, prepare goods for shipment, and maintain accurate shipping documents. You will coordinate daily shipment schedules with the Operations Manager and record shipment data such as weight and space availability.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in shipping/receiving in a warehouse or manufacturing environment, a high school diploma, strong communication, teamwork, and proficiency with WMS, RF scanners, and MS Office.

• 2+ years of shipping and receiving experience in a warehouse/manufacturing environment.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to deal with confrontational situations in a positive manner.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across the organization.
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain business relationships.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
• Proficiency in the use of personal computers.
• Excellent organizational skills; ability to multi-task and operate efficiently despite interruptions.

Responsibilities

• Assembles orders and prepares goods for shipment.
• Creates required shipping documents and ensures documents are correct.
• Assists with a daily review of scheduled shipments and coordinates with Operations Manager to effectively schedule order shipments.
• Records shipment data, including weight, charges, and space availability.
• Receives and unpacks materials and supplies.
• Reports damages and inventory discrepancies.
• Conducts daily inventory cycle counts and assists in COGI and PA clean up as needed.
• Assists doing Year-End physical inventory.
• Makes recommendations to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of operations.
• Documents and maintains inventory to ensure production are organized and clean.
• Ensures safety policies are followed throughout the warehouse.
