Union Pacific Railroad's Loup Logistics internship offers hands-on experience in the dynamic world of multi-modal transportation, combining rail and truck services to deliver flexible, efficient solutions.

This in-person role in Omaha, NE during summer pairs you with cross-functional teams and senior leaders to apply your analytical and communication skills to high-impact projects shaping logistics. Relocation stipends and housing are provided for students from beyond 75 miles.

Qualifications

• College credits equivalent to one year toward an undergraduate or graduate degree.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic organization, prioritization and time/project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Core Business Operations - Learn and assist with customer outreach, shipment tracking, and sales enablement.
• Drive Operational Excellence - Improve logistics workflows, shipment visibility, and equipment utilization.
• Collaborate on Projects - Work with cross-functional teams to implement action plans.
• Build Professional Networks - Engage with professionals across Loup and Union Pacific.
• Manage Real Initiatives - Own project deliverables on initiatives like equipment utilization and shipment visibility.
• Use Industry Tools - Leverage Salesforce, Tableau, and ShipmentVision to document work and analyze data.
• Perform Other Duties as Assigned - Be flexible and proactive.
