Job summary

Union Pacific Railroad is offering a year-round HR internship in Omaha, NE. You will work full-time during the summer (mid-May to early August) and then switch to a part-time schedule while in school.

The role is on the Labor Relations team; you will manage a project from start to finish and gain exposure to contracts, data, and presentations. Candidates should have college credits toward an undergrad, strong communication, and basic organization; work 15–25 hours weekly in person with some

Qualifications

• College credits equivalent to one year toward an undergraduate degree.
• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic organization, prioritization and time/project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and reviewing labor contracts and related documents.
• Track contract compliance and assist in resolving contract disputes.
• Coordinate with the labor relations team to ensure accurate contract administration.
• Support leaders to understand and address labor-related concerns and assist in discussions.
• Maintain and update labor relations records and documentation.
• Conduct research on labor relations trends and prepare summaries and presentations.
