Union Pacific Railroad in Omaha, Nebraska is seeking a Year‑Round Intern in our Technology Department to gain hands‑on experience in Application Development, Cybersecurity, or Infrastructure/Platform teams. The role supports secure systems and automated platforms across our transportation network.

The internship runs during the academic year with about 20 hours per week on a flexible schedule, onsite with some remote work possible, and full‑time in Omaha during the summer.

• Learn and perform the core processes and work tasks required to build and support secure and highly available enterprise software applications and platforms
• Participate in design sessions, sprint planning and code reviews
• Track and maintain status of projects using tools such as JIRA
• Build and strengthen a network of professional contacts within departments and across the company
• Perform other duties as assigned
