J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Bethlehem, PA is seeking a Manager Trainee under general supervision to learn the management of a small driver count and non-traditional shifts.

You will help ensure the safe and timely movement of freight, load assignment, and superior customer service while training to meet DOT regulations. The role emphasizes driver/compliance leadership, routing optimization, and collaboration with internal and external contacts to deliver accurate planning and reporting for

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 1 year of relevant management/transportation experience combined with military experience.
• Willing to travel to account, customer, and company events as needed.
• Ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and weekends if required.
• Willingness to regionally relocate based on account assignments.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain positive relationships with drivers and carriers to optimize fleet operations.
• Cover for absent staff and work on projects to improve profitability.
• Provide training and orientation to drivers and staff; assist with customer systems.
• Analyze and report on KPI, and present customer-specific reports and financial analyses.
• Manage yard and equipment maintenance, scheduling preventative services.
• Plan loads, route freight, monitor movement, and resolve service issues as they arise.
• Ensure DOT compliance and uphold safety culture across the organization.
