Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Grovetown, GA is seeking a Financial Analyst to support senior management with financial analysis and accounting activities. This role involves month-end close, forecasting, and branch performance analysis, and requires collaboration with operations and sales leadership.

You will also provide financial training to staff, assist with SOX compliance, and serve as a liaison with Shared Services and Corporate Accounting. Travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in business administration, finance, accounting or related field.
• Two (2) to four (4) years in Finance, Accounting or Operations, preferred.
• Travel 10-20%.
• DOT Regulated.

Responsibilities

• Month-End Closing: prepare journal entries and reclass revenue/expenses; explain variances vs forecast/plan; research general ledger for billing opportunities.
• Operational Initiatives: collaborate with DOO, DOS, and DOR to identify cost/productivity opportunities.
• Financial Planning & Analysis: include forecasting, business planning and branch performance analysis.
• Training: provide financial training to Business Unit staff on policies and tools.
• Sarbanes‑Oxley Compliance: conduct branch audits as needed for compliance.
• Corporate: liaison with Shared Services Center and Corporate Accounting.
• Additional Responsibilities: other duties, tracking/reporting, and further recommendations.
