Job summary

Interlake Mecalux, Inc. in Melrose Park, IL is seeking a qualified Logistics Engineer to optimize production and warehouse processes using SAP, EASY WMS, and Lean methods. You will collaborate with Planning, Production, Purchasing, and Logistics to ensure on-time shipping, accurate inventory, and efficient material flow across five US distribution centers.

Responsibilities

Scheduling, reviewing, following, and controlling production plans using SAP with Planning and Production departments.
Create and update production orders based on customer requests and production constraints.
Maintain weekly KPIs to monitor frame assembly production process and performance.
Redesign layouts and processes to streamline material flow using lean concepts; develop replenishment strategies.
Ensure material availability by daily communication with production and planning departments.
Maintain stock accuracy for finished and semi-finished goods across five distribution centers; report results.
Provide cross-functional SAP support to analyze and improve processes, manage sales/production orders and deliveries.
Manage Easy WMS and SAP movements; adjust stock and document system discrepancies.
Report inconsistencies in goods receipts and coordinate availability of components and finished goods.
