Responsibilities

Ensure designated shipping daily goal is met and lead continuous improvement in on‑time shipping.
Coordinate shipping with production, sales, customer service and purchasing.
Issue shipping instructions and routing information to align delivery times and locations.
Develop optimal work schedules and train employees to improve team performance.
Ensure resource utilization adheres to policies and suggest improvements.
Monitor inventory accuracy and flag negative balances and root causes.
Oversee inventory cycle counts and annual physical inventory, reporting discrepancies.
Prepare and share shipping reports detailing orders, plans, and costs.
Ensure finished goods inventory is transacted accurately and stored properly.
Arrange shipping documentation and liaise with customs as needed.
Coordinate storage facilities when required.
Review production orders to estimate peak delivery periods and assign work.
Maintain OSHA and DOT compliance and foster a safe work environment.
