Job summary

Caterpillar is seeking a Logistics Engineer in Victoria, TX within the Product Support and Logistics Division. The role focuses on designing, implementing, and improving logistics processes across manufacturing and distribution to boost safety, efficiency, and productivity.

You will work with engineering, manufacturing, operations, and supply chain teams to optimize material flow, warehouse operations, inventory movement, and logistics systems, delivering measurable results and scalable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Industrial Engineering, Logistics Engineering, or related field.
• Demonstrated analytical thinking and ability to determine root causes.
• Strong decision making and critical thinking with data-driven judgement.
• Adaptability to changing environments and processes.
• Excellent planning and organizing capabilities for tasks and resources.

Responsibilities

• Lead logistics engineering projects to enhance safety, capacity and productivity.
• Design, analyze, and optimize material flow, storage strategies, and warehouse layouts.
• Apply Lean methodologies to identify waste and implement sustainable solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define process requirements and KPIs.
• Develop and implement process controls, standard work, and best practices.
• Maintain and enhance engineering standards, tools, and knowledge sharing.
• Evaluate logistics processes using data to identify opportunities and drive results.
• Conduct root cause analyses and lead corrective actions.
• Evaluate and implement automation and warehouse technologies.
