Job summary

SURGE Staffing is seeking a dependable Shipping/Receiving Clerk for the 2nd shift in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, maintain trailer records, and ensure safety and accuracy in load processing.

Responsibilities include scheduling with carriers, using RedLink for transactions, and communicating across drivers, carriers, and internal teams. Overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Shipping, receiving, logistics, or warehouse experience required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced warehouse.
• Reliable attendance and strong work history.
• Overtime work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule inbound and outbound load appointments.
• Maintain the yard trailer list.
• Coordinate with yard jockeys for dock door availability.
• Process inbound/outbound transactions using RedLink.
• Communicate with carriers to meet schedules.
• Review inbound paperwork for accuracy and load documentation.
• Identify and report contamination or food safety issues.
• Maintain shipping/receiving records.
• Communicate with drivers, carriers, warehouse staff, and management.
• Follow safety, quality, and operational procedures.
