SURGE Staffing is hiring a Warehouse Operations Clerk on the 2nd shift to support daily shipping and warehouse operations in a fast-paced distribution environment.

The role involves preparing shipping documentation, communicating with carriers, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring outbound shipments are processed accurately and on time. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment.
• WMS experience preferred; Manhattan WMS is a plus.
• Microsoft Office experience (Word and Excel).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain shipping and outbound shipment documentation.
• Communicate daily with outbound carriers regarding shipment schedules and equipment needs.
• Receive drivers and provide direction for outbound shipments.
• Use a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to open and close shipments.
• Prepare accurate Bills of Lading and ensure drivers leave with paperwork.
• Verify shipping documents for accuracy and SOP compliance.
• Enter and maintain shipping data and records in the WMS.
• Research and resolve shipping or inventory discrepancies.
• Monitor trailer capacity and coordinate with yard spotters.
• Maintain load boards and trailer seal logs.
• Communicate work assignments and picking requirements.
• File outbound paperwork and maintain organized records.
• Assist with receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and loading.
• Support leadership with administrative tasks and other duties.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
