Job summary

Surge is seeking a Warehouse Operations Clerk to support daily shipping and warehouse activities in a fast-paced distribution environment. This role focuses on preparing shipping documentation, communicating with carriers, and ensuring outbound shipments are processed correctly and on time.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Experience in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution environment preferred.
WMS experience (Manhattan a plus) and MS Office proficiency helpful.

Responsibilities

Prepare and maintain accurate shipping and outbound shipment documentation.
Communicate daily with outbound carriers regarding shipment schedules and equipment needs.
Receive drivers and provide direction for outbound shipments.
Use a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to open and close shipments.
Prepare bills of lading and ensure drivers leave with correct paperwork.
Verify shipping documents for accuracy and SOP compliance.
Enter and maintain shipping data in the WMS.
Assist with resolving shipping or inventory discrepancies.
Assist with receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and loading as needed.
Follow all safety policies and other duties as assigned.
