Job summary

The position runs 6:00 AM – 4:00 PM with overtime and benefits. Proficiency with computers and English is essential for maintaining dispatch records and facilitating smooth operations.

Responsibilities

• Scheduling drivers to make freight delivery or collect shipments and packages.
• Communicating with customers and vendors about freight details, pickup and drop-off times, and special requests.
• Planning predetermined routes for drivers.
• Identifying traffic problems and creating corrective action plans to meet deadlines.
• Preparing dispatch documents for management and providing needed paperwork.
• Maintain records of dispatch calls, routes, and delivery/pick-up times.
• Monitoring truck repairs and maintenance schedules.
• Logging vendor complaints or concerns.
• Answering calls from vendors, customers, and management and assisting as needed.
• Other duties as requested.
