Job summary

A.P. Moller - Maersk is seeking a detail‑oriented Dispatch Coordinator to schedule drivers, coordinate freight deliveries, and serve as the liaison between customers, drivers, and management.

In this role you will communicate freight details, plan routes, monitor timelines, and ensure accurate dispatch records. The position requires solid knowledge of local traffic regulations and strong English communication, with paid OT and benefits.

Qualifications

• Strong time management skills and punctuality are essential.
• Solid knowledge of local and state traffic laws and regulations.
• Ability to make quick routing changes and adapt plans on the fly.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for liaison with customers, drivers and management.
• Must be able to prioritize tasks and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient reading, writing, and speaking in English.
• Comfort with computer software and dispatch systems.

Responsibilities

• Schedule drivers for freight delivery and pickups.
• Serve as liaison between customers, drivers, and management.
• Communicate freight details, pickup/drop-off times, and special requests.
• Plan predicted routes and adjust plans as needed.
• Identify traffic issues and develop corrective actions to meet deadlines.
• Prepare dispatch documents and retrieve required records for employees, customers, or vendors.
• Maintain records of dispatch calls, driver routes, and delivery times.
• Monitor truck repairs and maintenance schedules.
• Log vendor complaints or concerns.
• Answer calls from vendors, customers, and management and provide assistance.
• Perform other duties as requested.
