Job summary

Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC is seeking a Dispatch Coordinator to schedule drivers, coordinate freight with customers and vendors, and support daily dispatch operations.

The role requires strong time-management, multitasking, and routing adjustment abilities, plus clear communication with customers, drivers, and management. The position offers daytime hours and an hourly wage with benefits including medical, dental, and 401k.

Qualifications

• Strong time-management and multitasking abilities.
• Excellent understanding of local and state traffic laws and regulations.
• Ability to make quick changes in routing.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Proficiency with computer software and technologies; able to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Schedule drivers to make deliveries and pick up packages from customers and vendors.
• Act as liaison between customers, drivers, and management.
• Communicate freight details, pickup/drop-off times, and special requests with customers and vendors.
• Plan predetermined routes for drivers; identify traffic issues and implement corrective actions to meet timelines.
• Prepare dispatch documents for management and provide required documents to employees, customers, or vendors.
• Maintain records of dispatch calls, driver routes, route changes, delivery and pick-up times.
• Monitor truck repairs and maintenance schedules.
• Log vendor complaints or concerns; answer calls from vendors, customers, and management and assist as needed.
• Other duties as requested.
