Job summary

Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC in California is seeking a dispatcher to schedule drivers, coordinate deliveries and pickups, and liaise between customers, drivers, and management.

You will plan routes, communicate freight details, maintain dispatch records, monitor maintenance, and respond to vendor and customer inquiries. This on-site role requires strong time management, knowledge of traffic rules, and proficiency with dispatch software and office systems.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Schedule drivers to perform freight delivery or pickup.
• Communicate with customers and vendors about freight details, times and requests.
• Plan predetermined routes for drivers.
• Identify traffic issues and implement corrective actions.
• Prepare dispatch documents for management and collect required paperwork.
• Maintain records of dispatch calls, routes, changes, and times.
• Monitor truck maintenance schedules.
• Log vendor complaints or concerns.
• Answer calls from vendors, customers, and management.
• Perform additional duties as requested.
