Job summary

Lakeshore Recycling Systems in Morton Grove, IL is seeking a Dispatcher to coordinate daily routing, driver assignments, and real-time route adjustments to maximize efficiency and on-time service.

You will work closely with operations leadership, drivers, and customer service to resolve issues quickly, manage data, and ensure accurate service documentation in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• CDL or willingness to obtain CDL preferred.
• Experience in waste management or transportation beneficial.
• Experience with routing and logistics software.
• Proven ability to communicate clearly in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Assign and adjust driver routes daily to maximize productivity.
• Utilize routing platforms for same-day changes and next-day planning.
• Sequence efficient routes and adapt strategy based on demand.
• Maintain constant communication with drivers, leadership, dispatch, and customers.
• Troubleshoot en route issues to prevent service interruptions.
• Collect, interpret, and verify logistics data to improve accuracy.
• Close routes and input service data using dispatch systems.
• Review disposal and service capacity plans to optimize load destinations.
• Work with leadership to evaluate swing routes and balance loads.
• Manage service tickets, logs, communications, and routing paperwork.
• Handle requests from customer service, sales, or field staff efficiently.
