Job summary

GardenCore in Ohio is seeking a Dispatcher to manage shipping and logistics for daily deliveries. You will prepare invoices, plan routes, assign drivers, and coordinate with customer service to resolve product availability and scheduling issues.

You will monitor loading and unloading, ensure timely dispatch, review orders against tickets, and maintain daily reports. The role requires a high school diploma, at least one year of experience, and proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; related experience accepted.
• At least 1 year of related experience.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong math and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare invoices, delivery tickets, and related shipping documents.
• Plan effective delivery routes and assign drivers for scheduled deliveries.
• Coordinate with customer service to understand product availability and logistic issues for specific projects.
• Take orders from customers and ensure dispatch on time.
• Inspect shipping department equipment to ensure it is in working order.
• Review all orders against delivery tickets before shipping.
• Coordinate deliveries with company truck drivers and external trucking companies for timely delivery.
• Work with independent truck drivers to ensure pickup/delivery times, load weight compliance, and secure loads.
• Prepare and review loading/unloading, daily shipping reports, and delivery logs.
• Submit daily invoicing to A/P after deliveries are dispatched.
• Perform other duties related to the job as needed.
