Job summary

Maersk Logistics & Services USA, Inc. in Georgia is seeking a driver coordination role to assign work to drivers, schedule trucks, and manage related paperwork to ensure on-time freight movement.

You will communicate with drivers daily, track departures and arrivals, and liaise with customers to resolve delays or damages. The position offers a pay range of $25.00–$35.00 per hour with standard company benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; or related training and/or experience.
• Experience with driving logistics coordination is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assigns work for drivers for the conveyance of freight.
• Assigns trucks according to availability, purpose of trip, and freight.
• Issues record sheets, and all related paperwork to drivers.
• Trouble shooting and notifying appropriate parties of any changes.
• Records time of departure, destination, cargo, and expected time of return.
• Investigates overdue vehicles.
• Directs activities of drivers by two-way radio.
• Confers with customers to expedite or locate missing, misrouted, delayed, or damaged merchandise.
• Heavy communication with drivers on a daily basis.
• Other duties as they may be assigned.
