Job summary

Maersk Logistics & Services USA, Inc. in Georgia seeks a driver coordinator to assign work for freight conveyance, manage driver lists, and ensure timely departures. You will communicate with drivers daily and coordinate with customers to resolve delays.

This on-site role offers pay between $25 and $35 per hour, with standard benefits including medical, dental, vision and PTO. A high school diploma or GED and basic driving/logistics experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Compiles and maintains list of available drivers.
• Assigns trucks according to availability, purpose of trip, and freight.
• Issues record sheets, and all related paperwork to drivers.
• Trouble shooting and notifying appropriate parties of any changes.
• Records time of departure, destination, cargo, and expected time of return.
• Investigates overdue vehicles.
• Directs activities of drivers by two-way radio.
• Confers with customers to expedite or locate missing, misrouted, delayed, or damaged merchandise.
• Heavy communication with drivers on a daily basis.
• Other duties as they may be assigned.
