Job summary

Arcosa Crushed Concrete is seeking an organized dispatcher in Texas to coordinate truck loads, weigh operations, and customer communications. You will provide directions, assist drivers, and process payments while generating routine performance reports.

The role requires map-reading ability, basic office skills, and 3 years of related experience. Excellent benefits include annual increases, 401(k) with matching, health and life insurance, disability coverage, and paid vacation/sick leave.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communications, reading and writing ability needed at a level to satisfactorily perform job duties.
• Able to communicate with other employees and supervisors.
• Basic computer skills including Excel spreadsheets and 10-key adding machine.
• Three years of work experience with similar job duties or industry.
• Prior general office experience of at least one year.
• Ability to read maps and provide drivers with directions; Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Advises truckers of loads to pick up including type and amount of product and advises truckers of payment pickup information if required.
• May provide directions using maps and translate with Spanish if needed.
• Answers phone, assists drivers as needed and takes customer orders from Sales.
• Operates scale to weigh incoming and outgoing trucks.
• Records information on tickets for each truck including customer, job, and weight of deliveries.
• Ensures all required deliveries to customers/jobs are met and notifies supervisor if more trucks are needed.
• Accepts checks or cash payments and records accordingly for Accounts Receivable.
• Contacts customers to verify readiness to accept loads and keeps them informed of deliveries.
• Generates daily, weekly and monthly reports of activity.
• Compiles daily reports including Dispatch Report and Customer Summary Report.
