Job summary

Capstone Logistics is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to facilitate communication with vendors and customers, ensuring timely deliveries and meeting customer requirements. The role reports to the Manager and supports dispatch operations.

You will schedule vendors, relay routing details, manage PODs, provide route status updates, and assist the customer service team during peak periods while upholding Chain of Custody standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal communication and problem solving.
• Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, etc.
• Interpersonal skills; ability to foster teamwork and motivate/coach others.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and dispatch vendors or independent contractors.
• Communicate pickup details and conditions to vendors.
• Receive, input, and distribute PODs and manifests; prepare reports.
• Serve as contact for vendors within route territories.
• Manage vendor communications to ensure routes are covered.
• Determine responses to emergencies, accidents, and breakdowns.
• Explain Chain of Custody standards to Capstone Logistics customers.
• Resolve vendor problems with vendor management.
• Prioritize incoming calls and support customer service during peak seasons.
• Ensure adherence to the Independent Contractor Operating Agreement.
• Decide delivery methods to meet customer service expectations.
• Maintain documentation for each job in the dispatch POD.
