Job summary

Rainmaker Technology Corporation seeks a Logistics Director to build and lead a comprehensive logistics landscape supporting manufacturing, test facilities, and field operations. You will design programs and strategies to enable deployment, inventory control, and supplier management, ensuring readiness for mission deployments.

Qualifications

• 6-10 years of progressively responsible experience in logistics, transportation, warehousing, inventory management, or related fields.
• Experience building a logistics function or scalable operation from early stages.
• Experience leading logistics in fast-growing, complex, distributed environments.
• Strong ability to create processes where information is incomplete or ownership is unclear.

Responsibilities

• Lead logistics across headquarters, manufacturing facilities, test facilities, and field operations including transportation, warehousing, inventory management, and returns.
• Plan and execute equipment deployment, site mobilization, resupply, and demobilization across regions.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Field Operations to ensure aircraft, spare parts, batteries, seeding materials, and support equipment are ready for missions.
• Establish regional storage locations, distribution routes, and contingency plans to support expansion.
• Manage inventory accuracy, serialized asset tracking, critical spares, and replenishment levels across locations.
• Select and manage carriers, freight forwarders, and 3PLs; negotiate contracts and monitor performance.
• Oversee receiving, storage, packaging, and shipping procedures to protect equipment and ensure traceability.
• Coordinate equipment recovery, repair shipments, and replacement deliveries to minimize downtime.
• Implement logistics systems and processes that improve shipment visibility and coordination between teams.
• Own the logistics budget and improve delivery reliability, deployment readiness, freight costs, and inventory utilization.
• Ensure compliance with transportation, hazardous materials, customs, and export/import requirements.
• Hire, train, and lead the logistics team; address shortages and transportation issues during deployments.
