The role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Experience with TMS and knowledge of logistics operations will be highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Utilize TMS software to manage daily inbound/outbound shipments and maintain ETA records.
• Monitor shipment activity and communicate delays, OS&D issues, or scheduling conflicts.
• Source and secure competitive transportation rates via spot markets and carrier relationships.
• Negotiate freight rates and service agreements for cost savings and efficiency.
• Serve as a liaison between Operations, Purchasing, Carriers, Vendors, and Branches.
• Generate and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly transportation/performance reports.
• Prioritize workload based on operational needs and business impact.
• Identify root causes of delays (carrier/vendor issues, scheduling, loading/unloading).
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance transportation performance.
