Job summary

Bayside Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Logistics Specialist for our South San Francisco location.

You will handle shipping/receiving, triage shipments, coordinate dock activities, and support temperature-sensitive deliveries, working with researchers and vendors to ensure compliance and timely execution. Responsibilities include third-party logistics coordination, carrier scheduling, customs documentation, and developing SOPs.

Qualifications

• Completion of DOT and IATA training.
• Ability to work unsupervised while performing multiple jobs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform shipping and receiving duties at South San Francisco location.
• Triage and respond to shipping requests.
• Manage dock activities for large packages, pallets, and freight.
• Support shipment and delivery of temperature-critical packages.
• Coordinate third-party shipments, carrier scheduling, documentation, and communication between sites.
• Liaise with researchers and logistics providers on customs documentation, regulatory requirements, and shipping holds.
• Maintain organized staging and storage of equipment, packaging materials, pallets, and boxes.
• Prepare SOPs and work instructions to support operations.
• Assist with deliveries of critical consumables (liquids nitrogen, liquid carbon dioxide, and dry ice).
• Other duties as directed by the Facilities Manager and Facilities Director
