Job summary

Bay Cities in California seeks a Logistics Coordinator to act as liaison between customer service, freight carriers, and the Bay Cities Logistics Team. You will track loads, communicate with dispatchers and drivers, and ensure timely updates in the shipping schedule in a dynamic environment.

The role requires 2-3 years in shipping/warehousing, forklift certification, and bilingual Spanish/English is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; supervision training preferred.
• 2-3 years shipping, warehousing and inventory control experience.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily updates for items at Coastal/Packout facilities and follow up on stock and pallets.
• Schedule common carriers and arrange will-calls with BCL Team and/or carriers.
• Produce checklists to coordinate farm-out items.
• Send, update, and track shipping information for the Shipping Department.
• Obtain quotes/rates for outside freight via the BCL Team.
• Monitor inventory and scheduling changes to time pickups, deliveries, warehousing, and staging.
• Book purchase orders for freight orders.
• Collaborate with production and customer service to maintain and adjust the shipping schedule and warehouse inventory.
• Set up delivery appointments as needed or requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Monitor and operate OpenDock.
