Job summary

San José State University is seeking a Workflow Coordinator to lead daily warehouse workflows for campus deliveries and pickups. You will supervise staff and student workers, ensure timely, accurate and secure handling of packages, and train team members under the Distribution Services Manager.

The role requires at least two years of warehouse experience, a valid driver's license, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while using standard office software.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in a storeroom or warehouse in the receipt, storage, and issuance of a variety of supplies.
• Valid driver's license; out-of-state candidates must obtain a California license within 10 days of hire.
• Defensive Driver Training completion required after hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the daily in/outbound workflow for the campus, forklift and off-campus delivery routes.
• Schedule route coverage by maintaining staff schedules.
• Organize incoming packages and freight to maximize delivery efficiency and accuracy.
• Act as the department contact for scheduling needs with carriers.
• Receive, inspect and document incoming parcels and freight.
• Ensure outbound mailings and shipments are staged, scanned and ready.
• Maintain the tracking system database and update scanners/computers.
• Lead subordinate employees in warehouse processes and train staff.
• Provide simple reports on carrier-related issues and performance.
