Job summary

Omni Powertrain is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to act as an internal liaison between departments and work with the operations team to establish and maintain internal logistics processes. The role involves coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, creating consolidated shipment folders, and providing required documents to customers.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of logistics experience, strong MS Office skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in Logistics.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and perform multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
• Proficient user of MS Office.
• Ability to efficiently read reports.
• Understands shipping terminology for domestic and international shipments.
• Familiar with required documentation of shipments including INCOTERMS.

Responsibilities

• Arrange inbound and outbound domestic and international shipments.
• Organize shipping instructions supplied by vendors at production orders.
• Prepare consolidation folder per shipment with documents (Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List).
• Provide requested shipping documents to customers.
• Maintain Logistics dashboard with shipment tracking information.
• Communicate with internal departments on logistical issues in a timely manner.
• Organize and coordinate logistics of Trade Show Displays.
• Assist Logistics Manager and Operations team as needed.

Job description

This position will be an internal liaison between departments and work with the operations team to establish/maintain our internal logistics processes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Arranging inbound and outbound domestic and international shipments.
• Organize shipping instructions supplied by vendors at the completion of production orders.
• Compose consolidation folder per shipment either direct or to our Houston location, these documents will include Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, Packing List, and other documents as appropriate.
• Provide requested shipping documents to customers.
• Maintain the Logistics dashboard up to date with tracking information of shipments.
• Communicate with other internal departments/units within the organization including Customer Service, Procurement, and Sales on logistical issues in a timely manner.
• Organize and coordinate logistics of Trade Show Displays
• Assist the Logistics Manager and Operational team in other duties as necessary.
