Job summary

SPX Technologies is seeking a Logistics Coordinator I for the Olathe plant. You will oversee and monitor the flow of materials, coordinating inbound and outbound logistics to support production schedules.

A strong analytical mindset and collaboration across departments are essential. You will work with project management, logistics teams, shipping clerks, and carriers to ensure timely shipments, manage staging, and secure trucking and containers.

Qualifications

2 years in Logistics, Material Handling or Inventory Controls
Basic level Excel and Word
Detail oriented with ability to troubleshoot and improve processes

Responsibilities

Coordinate with Project Management, Logistics Management, Shipping Clerks, Material Managers, and Carriers for outbound shipments
Manage daily parts/tower staging and outbound flow of materials
Ensure availability of manufactured and purchased parts for timely shipments
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth material flow and timely delivery to meet production schedules
Oversee shipping arrangements with outside carriers and containers
Collaborate with Sales when arranging shipment
Provide up-to-date delivery information to customers
Perform system functions related to shipping and manage BOL and shipment photos
Assist with compliance requirements and document retention
Improve On Time Delivery for aftermarket and inter-plant orders
Serve as primary backup for other Shipping office personnel
