The role works with vendors, carriers and internal teams to optimize processes, manage purchase orders, and reduce delays and costs while ensuring compliance and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

The Logistics Coordinator plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods from suppliers to customers across domestic and international locations. This position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of logistics operations, including freight forwarding, dispatching, warehousing, and shipping activities. The successful candidate will work closely with vendors, carriers, and internal teams to optimize supply chain processes and maintain accurate records of shipments and inventory. By managing purchase orders and overseeing shipping and receiving functions, the Logistics Coordinator helps minimize delays and reduce costs while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements. Ultimately, this role ensures that products are delivered on time, in good condition, and in alignment with business objectives and customer expectations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in logistics coordination, freight forwarding, or warehouse management.
• Proficiency in logistics software and tools, including warehouse management systems and shipment tracking platforms.
• Strong understanding of international shipping regulations and customs documentation.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Must Have:

• Experience in flatbed, dry van, ground expedite.
• This person needs to have direct experience working with the potential customer on:
• Securing a load opportunity
• Negotiating the rate for the customer and driving a low rate to the carrier.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in logistics or supply chain management such as APICS CPIM or CSCMP SCPro.
• Experience working with international logistics and cross-border shipping operations.
• Familiarity with purchase order processing and procurement systems.
• Knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.
• Ability to analyze logistics data and generate actionable insights for continuous improvement.
