Barnhart Crane and Rigging Company is seeking a detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator.

Job Type

Full-time

Responsibilities

• Input load data into logistics software based on information from the internal team.
• Monitor quotes and pricing from contracted carriers.
• Select the best carrier and transportation mode to reduce costs.
• Process load tenders and ensure load acceptance.
• Coordinate with carriers for on-time pickup and delivery, estimate arrival times, and recover loads when necessary.
• Track loads and communicate potential delays proactively.
• Address and escalate issues as they arise.
• Respond to team needs via email, phone, and meetings.
• Develop and negotiate relationships with carriers.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the trucking industry required.
• Truck driver and/or Owner/Operator experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of open trailer and over-the-road freight.
• Understanding of geographic regions within the U.S.
• Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Strong analytical skills.
