Job summary

Total Quality Logistics is seeking a Logistics Coordinator in Charleston, SC to train and support sales teams by coordinating freight with transportation partners and managing daily shipment execution. You will handle high-volume calls, negotiate rates, and input shipment data in our systems, with opportunities for advancement and a path to becoming a logistics expert.

Qualifications

• 1+ year customer service or sales experience.
• Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
• Willing to work full-time, in-office in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate rates and secure capacity with transportation partners to move freight at competitive pricing.
• Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls to support daily shipment execution.
• Communicate with internal sales teams and transportation partners to maintain relationships.
• Manage daily shipment activities and resolve issues to ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
• Input and process accurate shipment data in our systems.

Job description

As a Logistics Coordinator for TQL, you will receive extensive training to become a subject matter expert in the world of logistics and supply chain. After completing training, you will be responsible for working with our transportation partners to find and coordinate available assets to ship and move our customers’ freight. You will become the go-to-support to help our sales teams manage their accounts and directly grow the company.

What you'll be doing:

• Negotiate rates and secure capacity with transportation partners to move freight at favorable and competitive pricing
• Manage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls to support daily shipment execution
• Communicate with internal sales teams and transportations partners to build and maintain ongoing relationships
• Manage daily shipment activities, resolving issues to ensure pickup and delivery is on time
• Input and process accurate shipment data in our state-of-the-art systems
