As a Logistics Coordinator, you will carry out our Mission of Love by overseeing activities and daily operation associated with replenishment, receiving, inventory, storage, and distribution. Accountable for and maintains the integrity of all systems, items, and procedures that take place within assigned storage locations and electronic platforms. Ensures high levels of customer service and on-time delivery to staff through accurate item levels, superior organization of supplies, and inventory. Maintains a solid understanding of products and inventory items, while suggesting and identifying initiatives for quality and continuous improvement.
Our Logistics Coordinator Is Responsible For The Following
- Electronically place orders for inventory replenishment and any non-stock requests.
- Physically and electronically receives shipments of equipment and supplies from vendors. Ensuring accurate record of data and receipt reconciliation.
- Build relationships with vendor representatives to help navigate replenishment, receiving, or inventory responsibilities.
- Organize, store and package inventory items as needed in a detailed and accurate manner.
- Assist with the preparation of shipments and packages to be delivered to internal and external customers in accordance with internal inventory management controls and packaging protocols.
- Responsible for keeping storage areas neat and well-organized by sorting inventory and stocking the areas with specific items. Sweeping and light cleaning duties are also necessary.
- Maintain Inventory records so that lists and databases reflect how much stock is available at any given time.
- Assist supervisor and other staff members with creating performance-based reports detailing which inventory turns and obsolescence.
- As needed, works with other departments on continuous improvement initiatives as they relate to inventory control, transactions, storage and receiving within Elizabethtown and additional campuses.
- Ensures safe operation of warehouse equipment and tools, verifying that appropriate protocols and practices related to safety are always followed.
- Conducts training of various departmental staff on appropriate processes and tools used to maintain the integrity of inventory and storage areas.
- Coordinates and assists with the distribution of goods and packages across the campus to internal customers.
- Assists with the implementation, execution and regular maintenance of cycle counting program.
- Conducts and recommends annual physical inventory exercises as needed to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Leverage technology and warehouse specific tools where possible to conduct daily operations and tasks I.e., box cutter, label printers, barcode scanning equipment.
- Creates plans and instructions when out of the office for other staff members and supervisors to fill in their place.
What You Have
- High School diploma or equivalent required. Associates or Bachelors preferred.
- Exposure to general warehouse operations.
- Comfort level with technology.
- Knowledge of distribution, receiving and inventory storage processes, both physical and electronic.
- Prior experience with high volume, high SKU organizational transactions preferred.
- Exposure to working with vendor representatives preferred.
- Healthcare setting experience a plus.
