Summary

The Logistics Coordinator reports to the Warehouse and Inventory Manager and manages all aspects of incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure timely delivery. They act as the first point of contact for shipment requests, freight quotes, and shipping documents, playing a vital role in maintaining efficient logistics processes.

Main Responsibilities

• Prepare paperwork for domestic and international shipments, including SLI, AES Filing, DGD, Commercial Invoices, and Packing Lists.
• Coordinate and monitor shipments to ensure on-time and accurate delivery.
• Update the Sharepoint Open Order Report with freight quote information for all DAP shipments.
• Communicate with internal teams, carriers, and customers to resolve logistics issues and delays.
• Monitor dispatch dates and report potential problems.
• Assist in selecting and evaluating freight providers and rates.
• Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and standards.
• Manage claims related to transport issues like overcharges or damages.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of customer requirements and documentation for different countries.
• Coordinate inbound deliveries as needed.
• Maintain shipment metrics and perform restricted party screenings.
• Maintain active HAZMAT certifications (DOT, IATA, IMDG).
• Perform other dispatch duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
• 2-3 years experience in logistics/transportation coordination; warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements, exports, imports, and customs procedures.
• Familiarity with hazardous materials, ERP software, DOT, Bills of Lading, and freight forwarders.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
