Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage the daily flow of materials supporting production of large industrial equipment. You will handle shipping/receiving, maintain inventory accuracy, and move materials safely through the facility.

You’ll work closely with scheduling and production to ensure materials are available when needed while keeping operations organized and compliant. The role requires 2+ years in warehouse, shipping/receiving, or manufacturing support, with a focus on

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Trade, logistics or manufacturing-related training is preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems (Epicor) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accurate handling of inbound and outbound freight.
  • Verify incoming materials against purchase orders and packing documentation; resolve discrepancies.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through routine cycle counting and corrective action.
  • Organize warehouse and storage areas to support safe, efficient material flow.
  • Stage and deliver raw materials to machining, fabrication and assembly work centers.
  • Retrieve completed parts and assemblies and move them to the next operation or finished goods staging.
  • Physically track and kit parts for production, assembly, shipping and receiving.
  • Coordinate closely with scheduling and production teams to prioritize material movement.
  • Prepare shipments including packaging, labeling, documentation and freight coordination for large components.
  • Complete ERP transactions related to receiving, inventory movement and shipping.
  • Identify opportunities to improve warehouse organization and material flow.
  • Maintain a clean, safe workspace and follow all safety procedures.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Position Summary:

The Logistics Coordinator manages the day-to-day flow of materials that supports the production of large industrial equipment. This hands-on role is responsible for shipping, receiving, inventory accuracy and internal material movement to keep operations running efficiently. Key Skills & Qualifications:

Education


  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Trade, logistics or manufacturing-related training preferred


Experience


  • 2+ years of warehouse, shipping/receiving or manufacturing support experience

  • Experience handling large or heavy components preferred

  • Inventory control or cycle counting experience

  • ERP or inventory system familiarity is a plus. Specifically, Epicor


Technical Skills & Competencies:


  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Attention to detail with a focus on accuracy

  • Mechanical aptitude and safe material handling awareness

  • Basic computer proficiency and ERP familiarity

  • Ability to read work orders and shipping documentation

  • Clear communication and teamwork skills

  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on efficiency

  • Ability to safely lift and move materials common in industrial settings

  • Forklift certification a plus

  • Self-motivated with a willingness to support operational needs
