Job summary

Responsibilities

• Release orders upon arrival and container availability.

Position Summary

The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day logistics and supply chain activities supporting Haworth Lifestyle showrooms, dealers, and customers in the assigned market. This role ensures the timely and cost-effective movement of products from container arrival through warehousing, delivery, and installation.

Working closely with Customer Service, Sales Consultants, showroom teams, warehouses, and logistics partners, the Logistics Coordinator provides shipment visibility, maintains inventory accuracy, and supports a seamless customer delivery experience.

Key Responsibilities

Logistics & Delivery Coordination

• Plan, organize, and execute logistics and supply chain activities for showrooms, dealers, and customers within the assigned area.
• Monitor incoming containers and shipments and provide estimated arrival dates and status updates to Customer Service and Sales teams.
• Coordinate customer deliveries and installations in partnership with Customer Service, Sales Consultants, warehouses, and logistics providers.
• Release customer orders upon arrival and availability of incoming containers.
• Support a high standard of performance throughout the customer delivery and installation process.
• Coordinate showroom transfers with the local Showroom Manager.
• Prepare and coordinate products for shipment to customers or return to suppliers.

Warehouse & Inventory Management

• Monitor inventory levels and product movement across warehouses and showrooms.
• Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders and inspect product upon arrival.
• Support high standards for product handling, storage, organization, and warehouse quality.
• Identify and communicate shipment discrepancies, damages, or other logistics issues to the appropriate teams.

Cost & Performance Management

• Support cost-effective logistics, delivery, and storage solutions.
• Provide freight, logistics, delivery, and storage cost estimates to Sales teams as needed.
• Review logistics and delivery performance against established service expectations, targets, and customer agreements.
• Help identify opportunities to improve logistics efficiency, service levels, and cost effectiveness.

Processes & Cross-Functional Support

• Develop, maintain, and follow shipping and receiving procedures.
• Partner closely with the Operations & Customer Service Manager to ensure effective execution of logistics priorities.
• Support Sales teams across showrooms and dealers by providing reliable logistics information and coordination.
• Maintain ongoing communication with internal teams regarding shipment status, delivery timing, inventory availability, and potential delays.
• Help resolve logistics-related issues quickly and professionally to minimize disruption to the customer experience.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, warehouse coordination, order fulfillment, or a related operations role preferred.
• Experience coordinating inbound shipments, warehousing, deliveries, and inventory.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple shipments, orders, and priorities simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Effective communication and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with Sales, Customer Service, warehouse teams, vendors, and logistics providers.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with ERP, order management, inventory, or logistics systems preferred.
• Experience in furniture, luxury retail, interior design, or project-based fulfillment is a plus.
