Job summary

Axle Logistics of Knoxville, TN is looking to hire a highly motivated full-time Logistics Consultant to join our growing Inc. 5000 organization where hard work pays off.

You will manage freight needs, work with carriers and shippers, and deliver first-in-class service while negotiating pricing and building lasting client relationships. A base salary with uncapped commission is offered in a competitive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred or 4+ Yrs of Sales Experience
• Strong professional communication skills
• Ability to travel to meet with potential and existing clients as needed
• Proven customer service skills
• Sales-driven and self-motivated
• Willingness to work well within a team
• Ability to work in person at designated Axle location
• One year of prior sales experience is preferred but multiple factors will be taken into consideration. Operational experience within the 3PL/logistics field would be a plus!

Responsibilities

• As Logistics Consultant, you are involved in sales, customer service, and the management of your customer's freight needs.
• You collaborate with carrier partners and shippers, overseeing the full lifecycle of every shipment in your book of business.
• You develop long-term relationships with customers through first-in-class service.
• You manage movement of clients' goods to ensure on-time pickup, transport, and delivery.
• You negotiate contracts and pricing strategies, and build a client portfolio via cold-calling.
