Raise is currently hiring a Logistics Compliance Specialist on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.

Overview

  • This role supports the implementation of end-to-end trade compliance and tariff-related activities.
  • The focus is ensuring compliance with U.S. Government laws and the company policies, with responsibilities spanning classification, documentation, audits, and ERP integration.
  • Interaction with customs brokers and freight forwarders is also key.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor updates to U.S. Customs Regulations (19CFR), Harmonized Tariff Schedule, and trade laws
  • Assign and maintain accurate HTS codes and determine country of origin
  • Apply U.S. Customs valuation methods
  • Support tariff analysis and report on duty spend
  • Ensure compliance with CBP, ITAR, and EAR regulations
  • Assist with Customs programs: Duty Drawback, Temporary Import Bonds, FTZs, etc.
  • Act as liaison to customs brokers and freight forwarders
  • Integrate trade compliance data into ERP systems (e.g., SAP material master)
  • Support internal audits and documentation reviews
  • Develop and provide trade compliance reports and metrics
  • Create SOPs and assist in training cross-functional teams

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Business, or related field (or equivalent education + 5 years of relevant experience)
  • 3+ years in trade compliance, customs, or international logistics
  • Deep knowledge of:
    • U.S. Customs regulations and Foreign Trade Regulations
    • HTS classification, valuation, country of origin rules
    • Duty Drawback, TIBs, FTZs
    • EAR, ITAR, and Sanctions Programs
  • Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP)
  • Experience with trade automation or software tools
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications

  • U.S. Customs Broker License (preferred but not required)
  • Experience with:
    • Duty drawback, FTZs, or CTPAT
    • Aerospace, defense, or high-tech industries
  • Leadership or project management experience
  • Ability to drive change and motivate teams
