The role you’ll contribute:

The Research Revenue Cycle Compliance Specialist supports research billing compliance activities across AdventHealth. The role involves performing daily activities to ensure clinical trial billing processes adhere to federal regulations and hospital policies. The position is part of a centralized team, functioning system-wide, and involves collaboration with various departments to promote compliance and accurate billing.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

  • Notify relevant parties of new clinical trials and ensure setup in patient accounting systems before patient recruitment begins.
  • Manage research-related patient visits and delineate billable and non-billable services accurately.
  • Communicate charge delineations and coordinate with billing and ancillary teams for research visits.
  • Serve as liaison between research teams and revenue cycle teams to resolve billing questions.
  • Monitor research patient accounts and ensure enrollment accuracy.
  • Maintain a master list of active research studies for compliance tracking.
  • Upload necessary documents to shared applications for billing compliance.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Associate degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent work experience in healthcare, research billing, or related areas.
  • At least one year of experience in a clinical research environment.
  • Experience in medical billing, coding, or revenue cycle management.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, administration, or research-related field.
  • Two or more years of experience in clinical research or research administration.
  • Knowledge of research regulatory compliance, especially clinical trials billing.
  • Professional certification from organizations like SOCRA, ACRP, or SRA.
