Job summary

Monrovia is seeking a Logistics Coach to manage carrier relationships, negotiate freight rates, and execute routing strategies at the nursery level. You will coordinate with local shipping staff, loading teams, and grower coaches to ensure cost-effective deliveries of quality products to customers.

The role is full-time, daytime shift from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Saturday, with hours subject to business needs.

Qualifications

Education, experience, or knowledge of the logistics/transportation industry preferred.
2–3 years of experience in a professional office setting preferred.
Supervisory or leadership experience managing shipping or warehouse teams.
Strong negotiation and cost management skills.

Responsibilities

Contract and manage relationships with trucking companies and freight brokers.
Negotiate competitive freight rates and service agreements with carriers.
Monitor and improve carrier performance with service standards and scorecards.
Reduce freight costs through strategic rate negotiations and carrier management.
Receive routing information from the National Router and execute route assignments.
Ensure timely truck arrivals and departures; supervise shipping staff.
Coordinate with loading teams and grower coaches to align schedules and loading.
