Job summary

Weber Blackstone is hiring a Clerk, Logistics in Elgin, IL to handle transactions and documentation for LT, TL, and Export shipments and related billing. The role requires preparing shipments, loading instructions, and filing paperwork while ensuring safety policies are followed.

Responsibilities include coordinating with drivers, notifying customers, and maintaining accurate records in Excel. ERP and MS Office skills are preferred for daily duties in a fast-paced distribution environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; or one to two years related experience and/or training.

Responsibilities

• Release TO's/Shipments and labels for LTL, TL & Exports
• Schedule TL appointments
• Schedule LTL pick ups
• Enter all shipments types into 3 relevant Excel documents
• Notify retail Will Call customers of pending pick up
• Confirm process-confirmation and serial number verification
• Print packing list and case verification
• File all paperwork in proper bin/staging area
• Coordinate with security – driver check in and proper dock door
• Check in driver(s) and convey loading instructions
• Communicate with supervisor loads that are ready and seal requirements
• Complete process of BOL’s verify and perform any post loading processes
• Verify drivers are checked in and out per policy
• Send out BOL’s as required to appropriate departments
• Adhere and enforce Safety policy
• Actively participates in annual inventory
