Logistics Clerk
Pittsburg, CA

PSC Group is seeking a Logistics Representative to join our team at a petrochemical plant in Pittsburg, CA. The Logistics Clerk is responsible for preparing shipping paperwork, assisting drivers, monitoring and recording daily outgoing truck shipments. This position is responsible for truck order processing and coordination of order pick-up schedules with carriers under minimal supervision. This position is fully on-site as it requires direct interaction with drivers and providing assistance with data entry and printing paperwork. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday
Pay Range: $25.00
Job Duties & Responsibilities:

1. Maintains direct contact with loading personnel and provides daily updates for truck product loading. Acts as first point of contact for any loading issues.
2. Coordinates assistance and self-load certification for drivers as required.
3. Collaborates with operations/loaders to ensure timely completion of all orders and limited demurrage, including outside of regular work hours.
4. Creates accurate BOLs, Weighmaster Certificates, and all other DOT required shipping documents.
5. Maintains accurate logs of trucks.
6. Provides excellent communication and service with customers and carriers.
7. Assists carriers in resolving issues with loading/unloading and communicates to appropriate parties as necessary.
8. Acts with customer focus and professionalism at all times.
9. Provides data entry & some data analysis.
10. Weekly, monthly, yearly record keeping.
11. Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job.

Job Qualifications:

1. Experience using SAP preferred.
2. Ability to multi-task, such as answering multiple phone calls while entering computer data.
3. People skills, including patience to deal with customers, employees, and co-workers.
4. Exceptional customer service with both internal and external customers (ability to maintain professional and working relationship with customers and employees).
5. Exceptional communication skills, such as the ability to effectively communicate information to relief clerk at shift turnover.
6. Team player attitude.
7. Computer literacy, including the ability to learn the computer database and understand how to receive, enter, and dispatch job orders using the database.
8. Ability to learn customer and area-specific requirements and keep up with changes or new procedures.
9. 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
10. Stable work history with good references from past employers.
11. Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.
12. PSC is a veteran-friendly company. Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
